Retired.....
So I have all the time I need.
Get up at 6am, shave around 9am after shower.
This is the time of the day I enjoy most. Alone in the house, turn TV "Off", turn sound system "On", listen to good music, take my time, all the time I need to get the job well done. After I razorbate my face a bit and I,m ready for the rest of the day.

I shave at night simply out of convenience - my wife and I share only one bathroom, we work at the same time so we compete for the bathroom resources. Also, I have a problem getting up the morning as it is, I don't particularly want to get up any earlier to shave - a time of day I dislike to begin with - why ruin a good shave rushing and being half asleep so as to not enjoy the experience.
In the evening, I have all the time in the world and use that time to relax. I'm left alone as my wife watches television shows I dislike, I put on some music, and take my sweet time. Nobody bothers me, and I can do as many passes as I wish...who could ask for anything more!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I wake
up before my wife (we both go to work at the
same time) to have a relaxed and luxurious
shower and a shave. Nothing starts the day off
right like a straight razor shave.

I hate shaving in the morning at the moment - I get up at 5ish and it's too cold and blurry to shave. I cannot deal with a shave before the sun has come up so I tend to go for the evenings - it's safer and more relaxing plus I don't have the whole house knocking on the bathroom door!(Why! I only take 10 minutes to shave and they spend 25 just in the shower!)

Thanked: 95At the moment I find it easier to shave in the evening, partly because I'm to tired in the morning to shave before work and I just love to stay in bed as long as possible in the morning.

I am NOT a morning person so I usually shave at night. Like everyone else said, it gives me time to concentrate but also relax and enjoy the process.

Thanked: 9One more here almost always at night - in order to extract maximal satisfaction It is like a free therapy for me... well, it's not free, unfortunately - wonder if the health insurance will cover something say co-pay $10 / ebay razor, 1 new custom free every year for RAD-preventing, etc.
Lately I can be quick if I need to (like before going out) but this detracts from the experience for me
Cheers

I shave in the morning.
Now, I am not a morning person by any stretch of imagination. And I have a lot of reason to shave at night. However, I just notice that my skin feels different in the morning. It's more tight. I get better results and less irritation. I'm too lazy to shave in the morning on Sat so I do it around 5 - 6pm and I always get worse results. Always.
Plus, not being a morning person, I find that morning shower and a shave wakes me up and gives me more energy during the day. For years I used to shower at night and shave in the morning with canned good/multiblade in 1 min. Now, I need to wake up at least 30 min earlier to complete my routine but I usually end up more awake and energized.
