Thread: When you first started straight razor shaving

How frequently did you shave with a straight? This info will help me when my straight finally returns from being sharpened.

For some guys, it takes a sometime for their face to adjust to the str8. One way to transition is to use the str8 on the easy parts of your face and then finish with what you are used to using. As you can confidence and technique you can gradually move on to where your shaving exclusively with a str8.

when I switched from disposable to straight, I fully switched. I voted every day, really more like 5 times a week. just my normal shave routine.

I found out yesterday that my great great grandfather used to shave once in the morning, and then he'd walk home for lunch and shave again.

I voted every day too. It's the fastest way to learn. Sometimes I wish that my beard grew quicker so I could shave twice a day

Usually every 3 days. Sometimes 2, rarely 4, even more rarely 2 days in a row. I don't think I ever shaved 3 days in a row in my entire life.

My answer would be: every other day.
