Even after the closest shave, hence switching to str8's, I can still see a shadow.

P.S. It was almost 80 degrees here today guys, I took my Harley out for a spin, just thought I'd share that....

I used to have to shave twice a day if going out in the evening before going exclusively to the straight razor. Not called for any more........

Five o'clock shadow -- five o'clock fog. With most of my facial hair now a silvery white, I find that the five o'clock fog, if it comes, totally ruins the tan I've worked so hard to get.

It is also interesting that I, too, get less and less of this shadowy/fogliness as my proficiency with hone and strop increases with my practice with using same. It's seven hours since I shaved this morning and the stubble feels about like it would about an hour after the Norelco. Those little hairs have learned to respect the rotation.

My facial hair is pepper / salt.
And it doesn;t grow that fast. It takes 2 days before it is visible.
Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Never goes away. Got to shave everyday. Actually a shave with a Str8 doesn't stay BBS like a multi-blade cartridge razor did-but, NO ingrown hairs. And my overall skin health is better.

Ingrown hairs are why i switched to a straight. depending on what's going on, i have to shave twice daily.

I have a black beard, with some gray. After a shave, my beard area has a bluish sheen. After about 6 hours, I can start to feel stubble coming up again.

12 hours later I get the shadow but shave every other or third day to keep the skin irritation to a minimum and get that REAL close shave(BBS)

on my chin/stache/jawline it comes in right away but I'm newbly and my stropping sucks as well as my shaving. If I only shave my chin one day, the next I can shave the opposite and am left with a full on goatee.

    I get more of a 9:00 shadow. If I use my Norelco I get a 5:00 shadow.
