Thread: Who Uses an Electric?

My mom got me an electric razor when I was young..It set me on a quest for a better and more comfortable shave..I still have that one but it hasn't seen my face up close for about 10 years..
Nope they are propably even worse on light beards.. I have a pretty light beard and tend to shave every 3-4 days.. that means that the hairs are quite long..they are not that many but they still grow just as fast... An electric shaver just grabs those hairs and yanks them out.

Never owned one. And it looks like I'm not missing anything.
I tried my fathers when I was 8 or so. It tickled and was funny, but actually there was no beard to shave at the age of 8
Oh, I just see that straight shaving craze could be the result of such childhood influences
I just saved the money for the psychiatrist, wohoo let's buy some straights

I used to...
I use to use an electric razor every day before I decided to switch to a straight razor. The razor is in my closet, if anyone wants it!

Thanked: 11Since I'm only 19 I've only recently started shaving. Even then I've only really shaved for slightly over a year. At first I didn't shave cause I thought having my peach fuzz was cool and later I was just lazy but once I got a job I had to shave everyday. I used to use disposables since I got a fusion in the mail but I really don't like the shave it gives me. I then tried using my dad's electric with terrible results but contemplated buying my own before I realized straight razors still exist. I will admit that I still use disposables since I only got my straight blade 8 days ago but I only use it these days for touching up my not so good shaves. I sincerely hope to completely throw the thing away by next year.

I bought one a year or so ago, around about the time i bought a disposable straight, i probably used the electric twice, it was so crappy, ripped hair, still didn't look clean shaven.

I have hated electric razors from the first time I tried them. It didn't matter how expensive they were they pulled the hair out and left major rashes on my neck. In fact one time my wife must have dropped it without telling me and the screen got a small tear in it, well when I had finished shaving it looked like a cat had a go at me. NEVER AGAIN.

Thanked: 735If you are getting a rough shave from your electric, perhaps you didn't get one that was truly "shave ready" A few passes on the Norton and some light pasted stropping should have it back in top form in no time....
