Thanked: 37Who Uses an Electric?
I know it is shameful and sacreligous on this board but do you ever use an electric shaver?
I own two electric razors. I keep one in my car to shave when I am running late for work. My other I keep for traveling through airports when I don't want to check my bags. Every now and then I just get lazy and use the electric.
Don't be ashamed to admit it. I bet even Lynn has an electric.

i used to have one but i could never get any where near a decent shave from one and it always seemed to just rip the hairs out rather that cut them

I do own an electric trimmer for my goatee but not an electric shaver.

I've got a trimmer for the hair, but no shaver. Maybe it's just experience, but I'm never running so late I can't grab a shave. I can get a passable, but hardly enjoyable, shave in less than 2 minutes. I figure that's why I've got a DE and a Shavette- they're time crunch proof (unless you slice yourself of course).

Only a true straight razor shaver would get what you're saying, Ivan. I guess I'm a true straight razor shaver.
I still posses an electric razor in my home since it was what I used prior to shaving with straights exclusively and since I found out that you can't even give them away on Ebay. I paid a ridiculous amount of money for it maybe 3 years ago and the shaves compared to a straight razor shave are sub par to downright bad. It really does seem like it works by grinding the whiskers down and reveals a 5 O'clock shadow by noon whereas I can stave off a 5 O'clock shadow with a straight somewhere between 12-18 hours.
Now the confession. I use it maybe once every three months or so on weekends when I've had to run out somewhere where I need to look more presentable than the bit of stubble I've had and haven't had the time to shave any other way. I light two minute whisker grinding and on those occasions I'm out the door mumbling about the crappy electric razor and how much it sucks.

Thanked: 6I used to use an electric razor, and alternate between that and disposables.
I was VERY close to buying a new electric razor, spending 400 bux or so on one, but thought i'd look into straight razor shaving, better shave and at the time it bought would be cheaper,
Couple months later, i haven't touched the old electric at all
