Thread: How much shaved

How the heck do you get time (and beard?!?) over to shave with a DE if you shave twice a day with a straight?

If you shave with a str8 properly, there is no way a DE or any multi-edge can match it! If you are going to shave every day, as in the military, don't do more than one pass with a good sharp str8! If you do any ATG, the facial hair will not grow enough for a daily shave and too much for an every other day shave. I spent 21 years in so I understand about the need to shave, BUT i just recently started truly shaving with a str8, but have done alot of research before I really started. Hope this helps!

I shave every day, including weekend days unless I can't fit it in, because I enjoy shaving. It's been exclusively with the straight just recently (maybe a fortnight), with a couple of years of DE shaving before that, and 20 odd years of Sensor and gel before that.

I shave everyday with a str8, three passes. I enjoy shaving!

I am ex-army and shave every day. On the occaisional lounge around the house type of day I may skip that day.

Current active duty- I shave FOR every workday, which sometimes means 3 passes the night before. Leave and other days off are as I feel like it. I enjoy shaving now, so I don't mind doing it every day. I also enjoy shaving multiple days of growth off at once, when I get the chance.

If I'm in a rush, I'll whip out the DE, but it feels like cheating, it's too easy, though still better than the cartridges.
