Yeah, the leatherface sounds at least intriguing and the soaps are well received, so I'll likely give in and order some. The shipping costs to Europe are pretty decent from what I quickly saw.

I sliced myself but good on shave #2! LOL! Most nicks I've had were on the ATG pass.

Thanks for the review of Colleen's soaps, I'll have to try some.
I strop my razor with my eyes closed.

if you guys dont want to go for the full size soap , she makes a 1oz size and a 1/2oz size, The cool thing is she also stocks a custom wooden bowl that is only like 5 bucks for the 1oz size soap.

Sorry to hear about the cut, Mike. My first serious one(s) happened about the same time, perhaps a little sooner. With me it was crossing the line from not enough confidence to a little too much. Gah, it heals.

I am going to just say AMEN to that!

Coleen has my business for as long as she makes her soaps (I love her cavendish black, oak and moss, and bay rum).

As for Max, I don't know if there is anyone doing restos right now that makes as many razors that perfectly appeal to my personal tastes as Max. His stuff is very clean, and VERY classy. If I can ever stop myself from doing my own restos I am going to go with Max.

***(disclaimer... I fully believe that there are tons of restorers on the same level... it's just that Max's designs are most appealing to me personally).***

I still think that lather should incorporate a styptic type ingredient, or all soaps and lathers should be RED!
Yep. Red shaving soaps and brown underware. I wish I had thought of that.
