If you just now nicked yourself, great job! Enjoy those soaps.

Mike,
try to let it heal for at least a week and shave around it. Use some neosporin.
Which blade was the culprit?

Mike,
Remember when people ask about it tell them it was a dueling scar. Makes you sound very manly...lol. I did that twice and it was a trip.
As for the soap I love Colleens soaps also Mama Bears are great too. I liked the bay rum from Pinaud though haven't used it in a bit though, my wife loves the West Indian Lime from Crantree & Evelyn so that has become my standard.

I am going to just say AMEN to that!
Coleen has my business for as long as she makes her soaps (I love her cavendish black, oak and moss, and bay rum).
As for Max, I don't know if there is anyone doing restos right now that makes as many razors that perfectly appeal to my personal tastes as Max. His stuff is very clean, and VERY classy. If I can ever stop myself from doing my own restos I am going to go with Max.
***(disclaimer... I fully believe that there are tons of restorers on the same level... it's just that Max's designs are most appealing to me personally).***

Jeremy , Yes from day one I have been lucky without even a nick. I just stayed focused , took my time and have had great shaves. When I finally sliced myself I almost didnt know what to do, I kept shaving but the red lather started to get to me. I felt like the boxer who gets hit and knocked out for the first time, I felt it cut and thought oh oh ..... I didnt move and thought ok nothing happened that just felt weird, but then came the red lather.

Eric , the latigo is great it has gotten more draw. In fact a little to much for me, Im going to have to get some Neets foot oil that TM suggested. I havent put anything on it since I got it and the only reason Im even considering the oil is the lessen the draw.

Thanked: 41Mike, Congrats on your first wound. Sorry that it took soooo long
I still think that lather should incorporate a styptic type ingredient, or all soaps and lathers should be RED!
