Default Was SRP a signifcant factor in your taking up the SR?

Was this site a substantial factor in your decision to take up straight razor shaving? Clearly there are many factors that affect our predisposition to do something like this. My guess is, that for many or most of us, this site and its resources pushed us over the edge (happily so in my case).

If no, were you already SR shaving?

I presume Lynn will be happy to see how this site has influenced this band of brothers (and sisters)!

This site wasn't instrumental in me starting to shave with a straight razor, but it certainly was indispensable in terms of learning the finer points of technique and maintenance.

I was already shaving with a straight on and off for many years, then I found SRP. I havent seen my money or any free time since.

SRP was probably the largest factor in my decision to switch to a straight razor. No question.

Unfortunately no. I would have been much better off if it was

although... This site has helped me spend more money than I previously imagined.

No, unfortunately. I'd have done things a little differently had it have been. I came here a month or so in and since then it has been invaluable as a resource to me.

It wasn't the reason I started, but it sure is the reason I'm a lot better at it! I was about a month into shaving (after a fashion) before I found the forum and was able to improve.
