Thanked: 8My wife always has to remind me to remove the styptic off my face.
I always forget bags of groceries in the car. I forget people's names. I forget to turn the stove off. I forget there is a pot on the stove. I forget to turn the water off ( A really slow water filter is to blame).

Also not really shave-related, but sometimes I accidentally put body wash in my hair right before realizing it isn't shampoo. I always feel like a fool when this happens (which is thankfully not TOO often).

A couple of months ago, I was home alone during the week, and after cutting the yard, I showered and was about to shave. I made a nice lather and was stropping my razor when the phone started ringing. Wrong number. I went back and continued only to be interrupted by the phone again. Survey. I went back to stropping and finally shaved. I had forgotten how many passes I'd made on the strop and each time started over...
I strop my razor with my eyes closed.

Thanked: 3Not a shaving oversight but...
My girlfriend told me on the phone from the (one) office that after work she had to go back to the down town office because she left her cell phone there earlier in the day.
Because she would be driving pretty much right past my place on the way down town, I texted her to say "Hey, why don't you pick me up on the way, and I'll ride along!"
Later that night she said "I got your text, after I got down town; surely you see the flaw in your question."
I can't remember when I last felt so stupid.

Not about me or shaving (I don't have one of those stories, YET.)
My brother was really absent minded when he was younger (still is but not as bad). There were a few occasions that he was told to take out the trash. On his way outside, carrying a bag of trash half as big as he was. He'd suddenly drift off into who knows where, walk back inside, and while still holding the bag full of trash, ask... "what was I doing?"

Well, confusing the toothpaste tube with the Musgo Real is not that difficult, is it? Is not that bad if you do not get a great lather, but brushing your teeth with the shaving cream.....
