We are in Big Trouble
Shaving is unnatural, irrational, unmanly, and ungodly!! It says so here: Beard shaving and the common use of ... - Google Books
Excerpt: "It is impossible to calculate the amount of suicides, homicides, and murders, perpetrated during the last thirty years (which are an average lifetime), by means of the disgraceful practice of shaving, and the common use of the razor."
Now we've done it.

We Are In Big Trouble
My dear Matt,
I love your post. Thanks for digging up that bit of irrational comedy from a bygone age. It is a sharp reminder that each age has its own horde of crackpot believers. Today is no exception.
Some years ago, when I did morning drive radio, I had to endure the daily torture of following an overnight announcer who probably bathed every spring, if even then. Nor did he change clothes as do normal people.
Nor did he believe in shaving.
The guy reeked of every unpleasant odor you can imagine.
For the years that I was morning announcer at that radio station, I spent a fortune on air freshner and Lysol. Since the air studio was small, it smelled like a pig domain. Also, he left a thick coat of dandruff on the back of the announcer's chair. I cleaned the stuff off with a broom and doused the chair in Lysol — all this between talking on the air and playing music.
I assumed he believed bathing was a sin. Or maybe it was against his political believe. Who knows?
Yes, each age has its own share of knuckle heads.
Regards,

Thanked: 235Makes me glad I'm a Buddhist. There are not crazy Buddhists, as far as I know, who say I shouldn't shave.

For the lack of SRP back in the day, the guy could not master the technique and skills necessary and was left no choice but to defend his beard as being the more wholesome choice!
