Gentlemen,

My Feather AC has always given me a good shave. That's why I keep it in the rack. Of course, the only time I use it is if in a rush. When traveling, I also pack it in my dopp kit, along with a Merkur travel DE, as a supplement to a regular straight.

Whether the Feather is less forgiving than a regular straight is a moot point with me, since I use extreme care with both razors.

In my overall razor lineup, however, neither the Feather nor the double edge replaces the regular straight. As much as I like my Feather and the Edwin Jagger "Chatsworth" barley, I like my regular straights far more.

Among other reasons, it's the alluring romance that adds to the pleasure of shaving with a straight razor. Think of it, gentlemen: what better way to start the day than with making warm lather in the scuttle and then stropping a straight razor?
