Thanked: 125I shave every other day, usually Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Sometimes a Saturday gets thrown into the mix...

I normally have to shave every day. I can sometimes skip a shaving at the weekend if I'm not meeting people. Perhaps it's my age, but it seems slovenly not to shave. In contrast many younger men seem to have permanent stubble. In the UK this is known as 'designer stubble'.
Whilst not physically ancient (I can still run a mile in a respectable time for my age) in many ways daily shaving seems anachronistic.
My Canadian brothers-in-law and male nephews all sport collar length hair and in many cases beards. I'm not sure if this is dictated by the climate or fashion.'Living the dream, one nightmare at a time'

Hello folks. This seems like a topic suitable for a new member! I generally shave every day in the evening with the exception of Fridays, which makes the Saturday shave that much better. If I'm in a hurry I have recourse to the DE, but recently it's been straights exclusively.

I shave every day. I use my str8 every day except if my wife and I have to share the bathroom, then I use my DE. I don't like the distraction while str8 shaving. Wife likes to talk or use the blow dryer and it messes up the zen state. Plus it make me nervous as she walks back and forth behind me while I have the str8 to my face - one good bump and I'm toast.

I shave every other day. My skin is too sensitive to shave every day.

I shave every few days since there're no whiskers for about that long. If my wife asks I'll skip it and just rock the stubble. Mi esposa la gusta mejor.

I have a job where I can get away with facial neglect. It also depends how my time is going. My skin gets dry in winter too, so I may shave every three to four days. I only go for BBS, and if I cant dedicate the time for a shot at Zen, then I wear whiskers.

Thanked: 1195I'll speak for Canadians and say it's most likely fashion, but with probably a bit of personal preference thrown in for good measure. However, if you have an outdoors job in Canada a full beard does come in handy. It's amazing how a beard helps to retain warmth, and it's especially noticeable when you shave one off when it's -20 c in the sun!
That sounds pretty much like me. My face can tolerate shaving every other day very well.
