As I see it straight shaving is multi-tasking. Focusing on where the blade is, where your face is, pressure, direction of blade, angle of blade, streching skin the list goes on and on... Adding a wife into the mix or worse yet, kids! is always a recipe for bad things to happen to an innocent face. This is why doors have locks and radios can be turned up :-) (pretty easy to figure out why I'm single huh? ladies please don't be offended but shaving is alone time). Hope you heal quickly!!

It's comforting to know that even very experienced straight shavers can slice themselves so I won't feel so bad next time I do it.

I for one am thankful that TBS risked SRP humiliation by admitting to all this.....

Just kidding around of course. Thanks for sharing, and it just goes to show that even the most experienced among us are allowed mistakes every now and then.

Great post! I laughed reading it, hope your cut will be gone soon.

Luckily my girlfriend let me have the bathroom for a really long time when I shave with a Straight, she loves the smooth result and know that I can never complain when she is grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr doing her makeup for HOURS.

So it is give and take, but I shave with concentration all by myself until I`m finished

Default Sorry & grateful to hear

Spendur, 'Very sorry to hear, but also grateful for your kindness in sharing. It's easy for the noob to imagine the experienced guys never lose focus, make a slip, etc. I hope its not deep & heals fast. The humility to share makes your stock rise alot. I appreciate your kindness.
