How do you keep it from steaming up?
I bought one in the UK about 10 years ago which looks identical. I think all the cheap ones are made in China. It works well for shaving etc. It needs regular metal polishing because it does rust.
Pay more for quality if you want to avoid supporting the Chinese economy and prefer lower maintenance.
I reduce steaming up by avoiding long hot showers and I fitted an extractor fan in the ceiling.

I've got the Ikea mirror for 5 euro. Works very nice.
Normally I use the 1x side. For magnification I move closer.

Anybody have pictures on how you mounted it? Do you have it come straight out from the side or on an angle?

For around that price, I did a medicine cabinet with twin mirrored doors. thankfully, I have the wall space for it.The doors swing out to get a position I want. They are also mirrored inside the doors. When both opened, this makes it nice to see the back of my head and neck. Its a given that the extra space is great too.

Mount it so you can easily shave with it and you have enough ambient light on your face.

    Hope these pictures help.

I got one of these mirrors and mounted it Friday night and used it Saturday (yesterday) morning for the first time. Very nice to be able to get close and see what is going on with the angles and problem spots.

I've got the same mirror from IKEA and have it mounted like Franks. It's pretty handy, especially the magnified side

I have been using my wife’s 10X, lighted makeup mirror for years. I shave in front of the bathroom mirror, then do my clean up water only pass in front of the magnified makeup mirror.

Buy the lighted, magnified mirror, it will improve your shave. It has a circular fluorescent bulb that lights the perimeter of the mirror and lights your face very well.

I recently saw a similar one at Costco for around $30.
