Hmmmm. Mine still sit in the draw. I too use a DE when pressed for time. I guess I just don't throw stuff out...?

Didn't toss mine because...
I hate to admit, but I have 2 Fusions. The first one was from the drug store. The second was has a history related to my switch to straights: I've wet shaved for years and wanted a badger brush. This led to buying a matching faux tortoise brush, stand, and handle for my Fusion. On a whim I decided to add a matching DOVO to the set. The irony is the pretty handled Fusion has only been used 2 times - as touch up after my first 2 straight shaves. Hard to throw the thing away as it wasn't too cheap.
I'll probably not toss either. I took the drug store one to Sudan with me last month - just too plain scared to take even a crummy straight there as they confiscate stuff for no reason. http://straightrazorpalace.com/shave...tml#post690171
Despite that, it is a great sense of accomplishment knowing you're not dependent on the big corporations anymore.

I gave the cartriges to my wife and daughter as they still think I'm insane. The handle part got deep 6'd into the trashcan with much glee

Thanked: 1195I don't remember any kind of organized celebration when I finally kicked cartridges. I think the knowledge that I was no longer a slave to Gillette Corp was enough for me.
My first BBS shaves - that's another story. Great shave, a glass of fine scotch and a good cigar would have been in order back then

Thanked: 443I've still got my Mach3s; will pack them when I fly somewhere. Cheaper to do that than start a new DE acquisition disease (DEAD!?).
But your milestone sounds like a very important time for you to grow your rotation."These aren't the droids you're looking for." "These aren't the droids we're looking for." "He can go about his business." "You can go about your business."
