I do not even have to think about this. It is definitely the knob of the chin and the underside of my chin. I just can never seem to get this area BBS and I can't get comfortable attaching the underside of my chin with anything other than WTG. I have conquered every other area of my face and neck, but with the chin, I sometimes still feel like a newb.

Jimmy nailed it, at least IMO. It makes for a bit of a challenge at least, and I've learned over the last couple years which areas I can continue to attack and which ones I have to leave alone after a couple passes.

You have to distinguish between the area that is technically the hardest area for you to shave and the area that is the most difficult to shave because of hair growth patterns.

Once you do this thing for awhile no area should be difficult to get to and you should have figured out the best way to shave those areas with the weird growth patterns or given up by now on those areas.

sides of the throat for sure. I can never get it smooth. It looks good, not too noticeable, but as far as feeling it goes, it always feels like it could be abit smoother.

Ironically, I've never cut my neck, sure a little nick, but never a cut. I have sliced my cheek pretty good when I get in a hurry. Lesson, don't straight shave when you're in a hurry and hungover.

I've got a couple (3). The points on the corner of my jaw. The grooves along side my esopagus and about an inch and a half spots on the edges of my neck. I can get all these areas here and there but never all in the same shave. Like anything else though just keep working at it and it'll fall into place sooner or later.

WTG, XTG, and ATG ad infinitum, it's cryptic,
and how else to rhyme in the word, 'styptic'?

The chin is so round and defying of angles,
we look at it and ponder as our razor dangles,
poised to hack away at the stubble on our chins
and off we go as the bloodletting begins.

Go ahead, do your extended shave prep and lather,
or take a hot shower, use hot towels if you'd rather.
It won't matter if you can pass the TNT, TPT, or HHT.
Shaving your chin will always a nightmare be!
Nicely put, but I think you may have a bit too much time on your hands

    Great thread....

I am a rather severe newb to this, but hope successive shaves will continue to get better (have only done four fulll shaves but each has improved). My touch parts are cheek hollows (proper stretching and taking my time helps these) and the ATG on corner of my pie-hole.... I got it the last shave, but it takes a bit of effort.... it is really a challenge (at my level) to get completely BBS, but feel so nice!
