For me the upper lip is pretty easy, the coup seems to come naturally. But what drives me crazy is the very tip of my chin, about where the chin pocket on a football helmet chinstrap would fit. I can abrade the skin pretty well, but those pesky hairs keep sticking out!

It used to be my chin, but now its the hollows next to my Adam's apple. I can get it BBS, but I've yet to be able to get it with the ease of the rest of my face.

I can deal with the hollows near my Adam's apple. If I can't get BBS there, I can let that go. But the chin pretty much sticks out there, and if I can't get it close, then later in the day the stubble drives me nuts. Someone on here suggested viewing the chin area not as a curve but as many small flat planes and dealing with each plane by itself. That has helped me quite a bit, but it is still a definite problem area.

Thanked: 983I thought I was (reverting back to) having issues with the sides of my neck where the hair grows towards the adams apple on both sides, but then I realised the razor just needed a touch up on the stone after using a(nother) fresh razor in the rotation. Back to DFS/BBS shaves again. All is right in the world once more.

The point of the chin and throat. Whiskers on my throat grow from left to right, making the ATG pass a challenge. By moving the razor in an arc and stretching the skin very tight, I get a nice shave, but not BBS.
I strop my razor with my eyes closed.

Thanked: 0Well I am a newbie still struggling but it does me good to know that even more experienced have a little trouble around the chin and lips. Don't mean that in a mean way just helps with the confidence to keep striving on.

yeah...for me it's the area between my windpipe and neck muscles and the chin in general...it often looks like I was bodyboarding on the pavement with my chin acting as the brakes...lol
