I like a 6/8. As a noob I found it easier to strop and hone properly because of the larger surface area. I did start shaving with a 5/8.

I only have 6/8s and 5/8s, and I don't think I have a preference either way as far as shaving with them. I like the look of the 6/8s a bit better. Both sizes seem to fit my face just right. I don't see going up to a 7/8 or down to a 4/8.

    I like 'em all!

If I had to pick I would say something 6/8+, but I really enjoy me little 4/8's as well.

As long as they're sharp, they're good IMO.

    I use a 6/8" and a 14 (somewhere between 7/8" and 8/8").

I own 4/8, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16 , 6/8 and 13/16. I don't think any size will shave better than another, but I have big hands so recently I tend to go for the larger ones. The 4/8 is just too small in my hands. Like some others I like the way the 6/8 and 13/16 look, but I prefer the larger tang and scales of the wider blades.

I like 6/8 for shaving and 8/8 and beyond for looks.
