Oh that spike point !!
Grabbed my Blue Wonder 7/8 spike point last nite for a shave. And i know this thing bites , so i am carefull with it. Well it like holding a freeking Cobra thats pi$$ed off and dont you know it bit me good!!!! It didnt take long either,i just swapped to my left hand,to do a down stroke on the cheek and Whammmo, i am leeking like a stuck pig,but i keep shaving cus this aint my first rodeo.Took a while for that one to stop bleedn. Looks like i have to let this one heal for about 3-4 days befor i shave again!! It was just one of those days.

It's like Forrest said in the movie
I have quite a few spike points, but the one that wants to bite me the most is a charlie Lewis razor.
That thing requires the upmost attention at all times. Sorta like my wi... eh, never mindBjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

I Feel Your Pain!
I did a cut on both my right and left cheeks next to my ears on my very first shave using a dull Case Red Imp 132 with a wicked spike. Made me want to round that spike.
I am glad you kept on going. Good for you.
Happy Shaving!

My demise is a lovely old Heljestrand, it is sharp and smooth, but it has an evil tendency to leave a mark. Sometimes after wielding that one I have to wear superglue for aftershave

I've been having to use a disposable on the moustache area for the last few days due to my old Bismark spike point. Tried to get fancy with it and it left a hlaf inch mark to remind me to keep it simple.

I have two biters, one I can handle, but have no affinity for. The other, well she speaks for herself: http://straightrazorpalace.com/custo...xe-custom.html
I wouldn't say a cobra though. Out of all of my encounters the younger boas like my red-tail are more bitey.
Good luck taming that beast.

My first shave with a spike poked my earlobe somehow - maybe I have given them enough respect since then, only the wicked Brunorazor spike has bit me since then

Thanked: 5My "cobra" is a square point but it has one hell of a burr ... surprised the hell out of me the first time I used it. Speaking of which, I will be selling the razor and was wondering: should I remove the burr or just warn whomever buys it and let them reside if they want to remove it?
