If I count preparation that's about 20 min. but just shaving is abot 10-13 minutes (2 passes+touch up).

It depends on how my schedule is
If needed be, 5-10 minutes will give a satisfactory result.
Luckily, I'm more often than not, able to take my time with it.
20-30 minutes is more to my liking

For me its 10 minutes for the shave itself, plus another 5 for the whole thing. Thats for 2 1/2 passes (WTG, ATG and XTG on the neck area, thus the 1/2 pass )

I'm 1-2 minutes stropping, 5 minutes face lathering and 5-7 minutes shaving two passes. So 15 minutes on average. I like doing things quick and precise, keeps me brain sharp. I'm still learning and sometimes at the weekend I'll add a third pass with a warm face soak and fresh lather and a little more prep - my first two passes are done with the cold shave method.

Probably under thirty minutes total, but I don't normally notice the time when I shave. I just "zone out". Almost a meditative state.

I prepare my blade the night before, so there is no need for stropping.
I do minimal prep, just a minute for lathering, then on to chopping.
In a hurry, it's 6 minutes with WTG, ATG, and some touch-up.
If I have more time it's about 9 minutes until the brush is back in the cup.

    straightrazorandy,

Always 45 minutes from setting foot in the bathroom to leaving it; when I shave with a staright I want it to be a relaxing bit of time for me.

I shave when I get home from work, and it really helps me relax and forget the crap of the day !

    So always 45 minutes

    Have fun !

    Best regards

    Russ

40 - 45 mins i guess? that's including preshave prep (usually a shower) making the lather, 3 passes, stropping in between passes clean up and post shave etc. and there's not a single second of it i don't enjoy.

I guess i f i was looking for a quick acceptable looking shave and doing a single pass i could be done in 10 - 15. but there's no fun in that

Completely for about 40 minutes ...
Stropping, preparing the skin, getting lather, 3 passes ...

    Thumbs up

It takes me about 20 minutes with a face wash and rinse with warm/hot water, make lather, strop razor and two-pass shave and then I shower. I've tried the routine of taking my shower first, but hate having to battle the fogged mirror to shave after showering. ...I guess it's all about what you call the cart and what you call the horse.
