Thread: Need help choosing a DE for my wife

maybe that could happen. i'd have to keep it sharp for her, though. does she go against the grain? do any of them go against the grain? i really have no idea how they take care of their lady parts. i only know that the aforementioned lady parts are the source of all mystery and religous shame in the universe, so shaving them must be wierd.

Just to be perfectly clear, the only lady parts that she shaves with the str8 are the parts that connect her ass to the ground... her legs that is

She makes two passes, one with the grain and one against. She prefers my proraso, but I've kept my trumpers and T&H hidden from her so if she ever finds 'em I'm probably screwed.

i ask because i'd like to get my girlfriend to try the DE that firestart was kind enough to send me, but i don't want her cutting the shit out of her legs and i can't really instruct her since i just got it and haven't tried it yet, myself. i think i gave up on getting my brother to try it.

and what's really wierd is, I really want to try it because somehow i think that's going to be fun, and at the same time reluctant to try it because that means i'll have to wait another day or so to shave with my straight again. what the hell kind of a wierd obsession is this?

I showed her on my arm the propper angle and she went in the shower and said it was easier to use than her disposable...ever since then she has been hooked!

As far as Gary mentioned regarding getting her to use a straight...I will not attempt this because I do not want to share my razors I would kill her if she ever damaged one....it may sound mean, but they are one of the few things I hold dear to my heart and many of them are not replaceable. Besides, she would never treat them well, and I treat them like gold.

Damn I'm envious. My wife just doesn't get it. She, her family, and co-workers think I'm nuts (she actually said some of her co-workers were now a little scared of me, which is amusing). Oh well, I'll give it time.

Its been about at least a year since I started with a DE and about 6 months or so with just straights. The only reason she started with DE's was because she was out of disposables and needed something in a pinch.

Soooo....I guess you could take her out to a rustic type cabin and throw her razor in the trash when she doesnt notice lol.


Mine shaved for the first time with HER new DE and the merkur blades I got her, as well as my boar brush and HER proraso and really loved it.

I made her go out with the girls and now I am home alone listening to BB King Live at San Quentin with some scotch and a little gun smithing....oh its a good night....oh yess.....its a good night

Well, I'm guessing she might be giving me my dovo back, but we'll see. She cut herself pretty badly using it the other day. She called me all freaked out and hyperventilating, she ended up cutting herself badly enough she had to break out the butterfly bandaids.

She freaks out and hyperventilates now every time she looks at the cut on her leg and I have to rub vitamin E oil into it for her so it doesn't scar because she can't without passing out. It's healing really fast though. She told me "Honey, you were right, one microsecond of inattantion is all it took"

I sure don't like being right sometimes...

We'll see if she goes back to it again. She couldn't even clean the razor when she was done, I got home that day and had to polish the blood spots off of it and the black tarnish spots that the blood left. Boy was that not a happy chore. Truth be told, I've cut myself much worse than she cut her legs, but I'm not supposed to be pretty, and she's my baby and not supposed to get cut or scratched or bruised or beat up...

Get her one of your 8/8 wedges! She might become as enthusiastic as you are and become more forgiving towards your straight razor addiction!
