Heljestrand made some beautiful ones, not sure whether they did double edged as well.
Just an example here: http://cgi.ebay.ca/C-V-Heljestrand-S...QQcmdZViewItem
Looks pretty heavy to me. If you look well at the contents of the box it seems that the handle constists of 2 parts that have to be screwed one onto the other. That'll create a nice long handle and a heavy razor! And: it'll give you sth. to hone!Last edited by Kees; 08-28-2006 at 08:46 PM.

Thanked: 346I thought the other handle was a short handle. And the middle piece is the holder for the blades so you can hone and strop them. I don't own one of these, but have been looking for a nice 7-day one.

She can have her DE which is very pretty and be proud of her silky smooth legs while I enjoy shaving with MY razors which are off limits to her...she may get mad about them...but she knows she would see a very angry husband if she ever touched, damaged, or breathed on one of my razors.

Thanked: 0schick
I gave my girlfriend a Nationwide Campus Injector razor (see: http://www.shaveblog.com/?p=227) which I bought, tried and discarded since my Merkur DE was much more fun to use. The razor worked pretty well though and I didn't see any of the problems Corey mentions.
After she tried it she was amazed at how much smoother her shave (legs) was. She adopted it and seems to be happy with it. She did cut herself pretty bad with it the other day, but I think she'll continue using it.
The Injector-style razors appear to be a very good option since it's a lot easier to use than the DEs.
