1 pass usually enough, keeps me visibly well shaven. if I need to be smooth I do 2 passes and I'm very smooth shaven. A third pass is a waste of time for me, It just means I get an extra half day that I dont need to shave

    regards Alex

I liked your quote. One pass on the cheeks could get me visibly shaven. Most times I will be smooth to the touch when running the hand in the direction of the pass. I would need at least two below the jaw. I am CDO (OCD but in alphabetical order like it should be) and don't consider myself done until I can feel no whisker when running the fingertips in any direction with pressure! But, I would have trouble going that aggressive ATG everyday. But for me it is a combo of WTG/XTG for the 1st pass, change direction on second pass, then ATG for a pass or two.

ahh yes.. i get pretty good in most places, and a bit rough in a couple.. not bbs..
maybe once i start using a kamisori or rolls razor i will try for a multi pass shave in search of the bbs shave.
for now, its quick, easy, comfortable/little irritation, and close enough.

It used to be three, but now with two razors from Maxi, I only do two and the second is more touch up than need.

That was my only complaint with Maxi, all that lather and didn't need to use it. LOL.

2 passes are usually enough for me; either 1 WTG & 1 XTG or 2 XTG, depending.

    Entire face: WTG

Entire face: XTG (more in some places than others)

Sections: Touch-up with a combination of XTG and ATG only in selected areas that I know need that third pass.

A poll would have made this information much easier to capture

I usually do two passes: first is a North => South. Second pass is South => North. Then I usually do some touching up around my adams apple and jawline if I want it really smooth.
