I love the Sunday night shave, it's my favorite one of the week. Every Sunday evening at about 7:30 ish, I'm in the shave den. All the other shaves throughout the week I do, albeit are awesome, are in the morning, then it's off to work. Sunday nights I'm usually enjoying a cold one, after some well earned "Me Time".

I usually grab an evening shave, but on a weekend, i try to get in at least one morning shave... feels so nice to mix up the time and enjoy starting a day vs ending a day...

I have to wake up at 4:30am during the week for work and I really don't want to get up any earlier to shave so I leave it to the evening. This means by the time I wake up its already starting to grow back through
However, weekends are free for me so shave in the mornings and get the full benefit for most of the day. Also take more time to get it 100% BBS.

Thanked: 12I too like to take my time and enjoy the lathering, and the shave. I usually shave later in the day, so instead of a pass WTG, and a second ATG, I just do two passed WTG.

Thanked: 220On the weekends is when I shave in the morning, and I too enjoy a cup of coffee during my shave. Because I shower at night, I use a hot towel for the weekend shaves. These shaves seem to be the most relaxed ones.

Every work day I get up at 0550h, and have to QUIETLY get dressed and shave so that I don't wake up the kids.
I usually turn on the bathroom fan, splash hot water 12 times on my face, proraso preshave, lather and have a quick once-over.
Start to finish, 10 mins.
On the weekend however, I actually get to have a shower in the morning!! I Heat up my makeshift-scuttle while I apply my proraso preshave in the shower.
Then I just stand there and enjoy the quiet for a few mins.
When I get out, I happily strop about 60 laps on leather, just because I can.
I whip up whatever lather I feel like that day, really paying attention to and enjoying the process.
By this time, my 2 year old daughter has heard the sound of my brush and bowl and come RUNNING into the bathroom to 'shave with daddy'. So we stand there and lather her up too. She shaves with the back of a comb while I shave with whatever razor I fell like that day.
I take my time, strop between passes and usually have a very satisfying 3 pass shave.
I usually nick or get some razor burn, but not always.
Either way, I look forward to my Saturday shave all week!
I finish it off with either Proraso aftershave or Dominica bay-rum depending on how my face is feeling.
It's an outstanding beginning to every weekend!

Thanked: 485Saturdays are DE days; simply because when I was a kid I saw my father more on weekends, and based on fleeting memories, suspect I watched him shave with his DE on Saturday mornings. That was always after a frenetic day mowing lawns and cutting every blade of grass. This was late 60's
Sundays, it's currently the De Pews. This is a very mild (AKA blunt) razor, so it's nice after the DE; which I find actually gives me an all round more completely smooth shave. I really don't need a super sharp razor after the DE, with my ability to tackle every hair completely ATG with it.
I like mentholy aftershaves on weekends, again, in keeping with the whole mowing the lawn on a hot summer's day, etc, etc theme...Even in winter...
