Lost my focus briefly when going XTG on my chinFairy tales are more than true; not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.

Ask me know questions and ill tell you no lies. But that was dumb.
Wife had started talking to me and I turned my head. Should have locked the door.Last edited by TrilliumLT; 08-13-2014 at 10:27 AM.

Thanked: 68I've been lucky to only cut myself a few times... but everytime it's on my cheeks, the flattest easiest spot, and always because I wasn't concentrating. Good reminder to always keep our wits about us with an object that sharp near the face

Shave Test gone sideways
So I am trying the fourth of four razors I had honed yesterday...changing razors as I work through the shave during the first pass.
#4 is the test is a 9/16 - 5/8 Anchor Brand Maganese Steel Square point..
I had done this exact same cut to myself a year or so ago when I was learning the Feather system.
Like that time I lost my focus on skin tension for a split second.
And yes, that is a flap of skin hanging down...

It's not the razors fault, but I know one razor that is now moved to the: "Player to me named later"....Support Movember!

Thanked: 2I will be having my first go at straight razors in the morning. Five of my boys wanted to get up in time to watch, but I let them watch a video of Lynn's instead so I could try to learn without all the pushing and shoving in a small bathroom. Besides, I am going this route for the relaxed pleasure I hope to enjoy. Wish me luck! (And thanks, Lynn, for helping out with the boys on this one!)

Revenge of the Cartridge Razors!
This was some time back but I just saw this Thread and thought I'd join the Crimson Crowd here. Still not exactly sure what happened... I think I moved/turned my head as I was going over the crest of my skull... The result was two of the three blades dug in hard and cut out two fillet-shaped chunks of skin about half the size of a thumbnail!
But, I've since switched to DE Shaving for my Head and all has been great since!

Freshly honed Tenk, great shave but got a little too close to the ear with the square point
