I can believe how stupid I was. I respect the razor in preparation, maintenance and shaving. But I was stung, or rather cut after the shave had completed. All in all this has made me show better respect to the straight as I was becoming rather cocky at how good I was at straight razor shaving considering I am a complete novice...

    Respect the blade
It happens. There are no stupid cuts , well drunk cuts are stupid but short of that dull razors dont cut. So you are doing something right. Question is why? From there its just an order of operation and the learning curve. Post 701 I gave myself fishgills, shaving above my paygrade. Chicks dig scars. sissys stay on the side lines. Call it face or in your case finger character,

I think this is when my darling daughter was about to put the toilet brush in her mouth- yes, the bristle end

I know the feeling. I have twin 2 year olds as well and for some reason, they seem to gravitate to me most when I have a razor on my throat.

Blood instead of water. What is the benefit with this new technique?

Blood sacrifice to appease the spirit of the stone. Typically followed by a ritual dance to show respect and give thanks for the sharp edges it has blessed you with.

Ritual dance? Running through the house to get the camera, and trying not to track blood on SWMBO's carpet.
