Re: Wow, I can't believe I did that.
I found that adding a couple drops of glycerin to the lather as I worked it up helped it to stay around longer when I was shaving my wife's legs. I also usually übered by using soap, glycerin and a little bit of cream from either The Real Shave Co. or Kiss My Face as both are available locally to me and work wonderfully. Both also run around $6 a container so they're quite reasonably priced as well.

Where do you get glycerin? I will have to look up the brands of cream. Anyone use coochy shave cream? I got some last year at a passion party and it works great for underarms, but I have been afraid to use it because I don't know how to get it again.

Amleay, you can get bottles of glycerin at most drugstores...and it's cheap.

It's usually found with the laxatives.
It can also be found in a cake decorating shop but it tends to be more expensive at those places. It's less than $4 at my local pharmacy for a multi year supply.

I found glycerin at Rite Aid, not sure if they have those in Mississippi.
Regarding lather, I didn't get good at it until I watched a video online. I was missing switching directions of stroke while making lather, clockwise two laps, counter clockwise two laps, and so on. The other thing I do is mix my soft cream/soap on top of my hard soap, that way there is always more soap underneath if I run low. For example, I use Geo F Trumpers almond as my base and missing bowl (the wood bowl the puck sits in works for me). Then put a quarter sized scoop of shaving cream (soft soap) on and mix away. The combination of two soaps really helped me make a nice lather and always more soap avail if I need it. As others have suggested, the addition of glycerin makes it almost fool proof. This has been a great thread.

Wow, I can't believe I did that.
We do have a rite aid here I just haven't been able to get there yet...lol
Thank you tho. I will have to experiment more with my lather. I just hope it works for me and I'm sure watching some videos would help also.

I have had a problem finding a bottle of it a Walgreens and CVS. They always have the 4 pack of glycerine suppositories, though! Same stuff! They make for nice droppers and last a long time!
