Thanked: 247I rinse under warm running water then strop dry on a big fluffy towel. It works well and this towel stays clean for weeks because it is only wiping clean water drops from the blade.
One lap does it

While shaving, I rinse off the lather under running hot water then shake off the droplets. If the lather does not come off the blade in about 5 seconds or less, I know that my lather is getting too dry and needs rehydration. If necessary, I wipe with a towel to get off the residue. One must be careful not to hit the edge on anything or a rehoning will probably be needed. Always keep focused on the location of the edge, and any moving parts of your anatomy.
When finished shaving, I run the hot water longer to heat the blade then wipe dry with a towel. I then inspect the blade and the space between the scales for any soap residue or water droplets. It is very important to never let water or lather get between the blade and scales or water spotting and rust will start on a carbon blade. If water gets into this area, great care mast be taken to dry all the water before putting away the blade. I let my razor rest and dry as I clean up then wipe with toilet tissue. I then strop 30 on linen and 60 on leather before wiping with an oily patch then put my razor away in a safe place in my bedroom.

Thanked: 3Does anyone have any suggestions on a towel. I know it sounds crazy, but I find that I can't get the hairs out of towels when I use them for shaving. I have learned that micro-fiber is a bad idea for me...
