    Default Wipe or wash off?

Just wondering how others clean the razor during the shave. Are you a wipe off, on a towel/tissue, or are you a rinse in the sink kind of guy?
I for one have a very ritualized practice to my shave. After the usual prep, I fill the sink with very hot water with a good splash of Savlon antiseptic added. I fold a twill weave shave towel and wet it in the sink then lay it in the water and over the edge of the sink. This gives me my wipe cloth for my razor and later my post shave wipe cloth for my face (clean one with every shave).
At one time long ago, I did rinse in the sink water, but this practice cost me my Fav Filly razor so I never did it again.

During the shave I wash it off in the sink full of water that I used to soak my brush. But I always have a sponge on the side of my counter for those times I haven't quite made a proper lather... you know a lather that sticks to your blade even when you submerge it in water .

I wet the heck out of my razor. I like a hot wet blade on my face. When I'm done I wipe with tissue and dry with a hair dryer. Ain't had a use for a hair dryer for 20 years now!

I rinse under the faucet and then when finished do a stropping motion on a cloth.

Rinse under running water and then wipe down. I was getting spots on my razor until I started wiping every time.

Wet sponge to wipe the whiskers and lather during the shave.
Toilet paper to dry the str8 after the shave

I've start to wipe instead of rinse after I ding and chip my very first Sheffield Openshaw. Enough is enough.

wet sponge wipe to get lather and whiskers off, then "strop" on a micro fiber towel to dry the blade before continuing. when the shave is done I strop on the micro fiber, go over the blade with a tissue, strop 10 linen 10 leather, and use the tissue to hold the razor when placing it in its place to avoid leaving skin oils on it. used to get water spots before I started Microfiber stropping during the shave, but not anymore...

most times whipe on two layers of good toilet paper, sometimes under the faucet (with the advantage of re-wettening the lather/face) , never shaking in the filled sink
