Well, I certainly don't lack the time for trying a restoration, but I do lack a lot of the tools. Repinning can't be done yet, so cleaning the tang is very tricky. But what has been done is a session or two with WD-40 and wet/dry paper, and a thrice-over with the brasso.
The nicks in the blade have all but vanished, thanks to the King 800 stone. On Saturday, I'm hoping to land a 1-6K hone, and *finally* get underway with getting it into a shave-ready state. As for now though, it's in a useable but rough state.
This might be a bobbins iPod photo, but it still looks like a different razor.

That pitting near the edge worries me for honing can you tell how deep it is

The last post from myself in this thread, hopefully. You've seen the "before" shot, now have a much happier "after" shot...
I might invest in a dremel, and try and buff the razor up well, but that's for the future. For now, I'm happy with it, and currently awaiting some stones to get it useable again.~ Dave ~ ... back to lurking...
