That looks stunning. Does it effect the shave at all?
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

I am not sure about affecting the shave. I don't think it will, since I didn't do anything with the bar, but I have not shaved with it yet.

If the shave goes well for you, I'd definitely be interseted in getting one of mine done! Don't be surprised at how many of us that will beat down your door to get that treatment.

About what temperture does the oven get to? I do like the idea very much. A lot of possibilities! As long as temper isn't effected, might be a great way save some severely pitted blades. Good luck!

For this powder it's 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Looking at a chart for carbon steels, it looks like that is OK for most of them. This one honed fine, time will tell how well the edge maintains.

I think I also prefer the gloss finish, though I realise that on a badly pitted razor it would.make.tge pits show up more potentially.
Gloss cherry or candy apple red, chrome frame and white scales would have a really 1950's hot rod sort of feel I think, not that I really know anything much about 1950's hot rods.
Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

Use white G10 with a candy red wedge. Use red to paint or color the pins after peening. Oh yeah screams hot rod! Love it!
