The Wade has one of the best engraving I've ever seen on a straight razor.
I'm really amazed.

You've got some very nice razors there! I'm all envy. The Carbo Magnetic, King Cutter and W&B all look fabulous.

Thanked: 6Thank you kindly, gentlemen.
The W&B has quickly turned into one of my favourites and will be getting new scales once i find some nice buffalo horn to make some. It shaves as nicely as the engraving looks. I assumed it was from before 1900 but I have no clue as to how old exactly.
I'll keep posting in here over the weeks and months and years to come as the collection gets bigger.

Nice collection! Different grinds, sizes and makers! This should really help you decide what you ‘prefer’!
I have that same Griffin #60 and it’s not a good nor decent nor a great shaver, it’s a Fantastic Shaver! It takes a wickedly sharp edge off of the Norton 8K and is outstanding off of the Naniwa 12K!!
The scales are modern plastic (I do believe) anyway pick up some 3M Lens and Hard Plastic Cleaner at a auto supply store. It will work wonders on those scales! I still have a product that seems to have been discontinued and it’s called Bumper Black.
I found a review of a newer and better product. What I like about the review is that the reviewer had used the older product so it was a really valid comparison!

Thanked: 6I have come to the realization that I don't have any particular preference for grinds or size, I like them all
I'll look into that plastic restorer, thanks.

Thanked: 6Both my Griffin and my Allan Arthur were advertised truthfully as being magnetic. Tough to hone without demagnetizing the blade, to say the least...
