Tomorrow or maybe Friday i will overtake the saw and take some practise with it and i guess (when the shop deliveres the horn fast) next week the Scales will be Ready to use :-)
That's great! I'm glad you were able to find some over there since overseas shipping would most likely be expensive.

Is that possible?? I seem to have read not to lap Barber Hones on this site. Or do you lap and then sand/polish them back to original?
I lapped a Raven Barber hone and it didnt like it so well. ended up taking 3K grit paper to sweeten her back up. Just asking.

A vintage Carborundum Razor 103 hone, some needed bevel setting help and for some razors that have some small chips or are just plain stubborn!

I have a jar of Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet on the way. Its not for me. My brother's b-day is this month. And although he's not a wet shaver (DE or SR), he does like quality lather. He tried the SR about seven years ago but gave up on it. I doubt his razor was ever up to snuff in the first place so it probably made for a lousy experience. But I don't think he really cares much about it beyond a luxury lather.

    rosborn, I have these coming:

Those are both beautiful razor's but I love the Ralf Aust best. I already have 2-3 Boker King Cutter's which are excellent pieces so I have nothing against them. I really love that R.A. though......................
