I ordered a table top band saw and it landed at my buddy Ski's place today. Once opened he showed me how all of the adjustments worked. He liked that it had a kind of rack and pinion adjustment to angle the table and to raise and lower the blade guide.
Once set up I cut out some horn blanks and some acrylic. Cut nice. Once I've played with it more, I'll know more but for now I'm very pleased.
Now to rearrange my garage/workshop to house it.
Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

Very nice, Roy!
A little nozzle to blow away the chips? Where would you be without Ski?
My landlord just bought a small one, Some other brand....Porter Cable from Lowes. Within a week, he bought the larger one.
I have my eye on the small one. He won't admit it yet, but he bought too small a saw the first time for his endeavours.

The saw doesn't have a small blower/that's a light/however it does have an exhaust port to hook up a shop vac. When I was cutting out the outline for the scales from the blanks I had no trouble seeing what I was doing.
With a little redneck country boy engineering, I could hook up a blower to my air supply with Way More Air then is usually seen.
Which brings me to:
Where would you be without Ski?
I'd be without one of the best friends anyone could ask for. I could call him out of bed in the middle of the night crying my eyes out and he'd listen, offer sound council and not give me any Shite------Until the next time he saw me and boy can he dish it out! I guess that's one of the things I like most about himOur house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

I went on an artisan soap buying spree a few days ago. Up until now I've been sticking mostly with Obies first tier soaps. Well these guys live 20 minutes from me and get extremely good reviews.. Decided to try a few out.
K Shave Works.. (clockwise) Ginger, Eucalyptus, Mentholated Rose & AS and yes.. Root Beer.
Maybe not everyone's cup of tea but i wanted some quirky scents. They do smell amazing. Bout to go get my Rose shave on...Last edited by MW76; 11-11-2016 at 12:17 AM.
