    If it's done correctly, nobody will know if a pin has been replaced. There are different kinds of value. If you were to offer it on eBay, it would sell for more with(well done) new scales. Personally, I would probably keep the scales as is, but I can see why some would want them reapaired or replaced. The blade is in great shape and could be an awesome restoration project.
