Appreciate the concern about the rust spots on the razor, I do indeed think it has natural scales
haven't yet received it, but will include a couple more pictures

Got home to find this Irish wedge in the mail collected by the kids.
Quite the wedge with some wear at the toe and the spine.
Happy with the overall condition and have the perfect scales for it.
May have some geometry issues based on the wear? Or just a fatter blade at the toe? Too much whiskey in the grinding room perhaps when it was made..

This I might order, got a Duluth Trading Co.
Catalog in mail today, they sell a Real Deal Straight razor
For $12.95. I’m wondering if this is a Gold Dollar
Or a Pakistan razor, anyone ever seen one of these?

I took a look and this is a RSO (Razor Shaped Object).

I wouldn't even spend the money on it as a letter opener.

Read the reviews on the Duluth site. The razor gets flamed. It is on sale for $10.36 right now so if you're not experiencing sufficient frustration in your current honing efforts ....oh and it's stainless steel so there's that.

MikeB52 that should be a great project. Perhaps slip it onto the hones to check the possible geometry issues before you get too deep, to help you decide how to proceed. It does not look bad in your pictures.

On the way from Chris at razorplate... I know it's not a SR, but it will be nice to have something I can not worry about having in the bathroom when the little one starts walking.
