Took a chance on fleaBay for $15 shipped. From what I can tell with the limited research I've done is that it's about 120 to 160 years old. SIMONS HDW CO 410 THE CELEBRATED RAZOR ROYAL KEEN KUTTER. 5/8 full hollow in black plastic.
Probably hooking up with my shave mentor Sunday to tune it up. I will stop by WCS on the way home for a brush, some soap and maybe aftershave. I don't have sensitive skin and don't like most scented products so we'll see about that. I will get some leather from a pal Monday and should be able shavings by mid week.

Aloha!
Amazon was blowing out this 1k/3k stone for under 20 bucks so I grabbed it. Very decent stone. I've seen it for $79 at times. I have been setting a bevel with a 2k, so now I finally have a 1k. And a 3k although I have a Norton 4k/8k so I don't think I'll use the 3k much, but it's there if I need it.

I am putting together my first straight kit.
@jmabuse graciously offered me an ugly, shave ready razor -- his words, not mine. That's exactly where I'd like to start. Thanks again jmabuse!
I've ordered the Poor Man's Strop kit from Whipped Dog.
I've got all the brushes and software I need from DE shaving.

Ordered some Phoenix & Beau Spitfire and Albion Tallow shaving soap.
Also, thought I'd buy myself a cheap lightbox to see if I can improve my SOTD pics.Tony
