    An old Twinplex Stropper with the hone in the lid. I also have a Torrey Strop & Hone paddle which I'm hoping has coti on one of the hone sides. Couldn't beat it for $9.99.

    Why is this thread in the beginners section? I know the OP posted this thread here for optimal exposure, but I thought the consensus was to encourage beginners sticking with a particular setup and avoid amassing a large amount of gear early on.

    My birthday is next week, so thought I would get myself a gift... ok two... I exclusively use shorties, and these are supposed to be in at around 2.5". I am hoping that is the case when they arrive!

    I took the plunge Scrupleworks 3" Horween Vegtable tanned Custom strop. Talked Torolf into lengthening my strop by 10cm . So a 50cm with handles Natural strop in my future
