I have this gorgeous 10/8+ beauty coming from Bruno. It was ordered on the cost efficient side, so its not 100% finished, and does not have scales. The heat treatment should have left a nice hamon line for me to etch

What do you guys think about scaling this bad boy. Ive had some great success recently with buckeye burl. I also have black G10, red G10, and pearl white kirinite.

Im going to get it all polished and blue all the hammered parts.

I didn't know it was on its way but my mother surprised me with a late birthday gift when a 5/8 Dovo Pearlex showed up on my door step today. I don't know where they ordered it from or if its shave ready or not. Its picking up hair on my arm easy enough so I may strop it up and give it a test shave. It will be my first Dovo so hopefully it wont disappoint. Moms are such great people.

Dang that's gorgeous, and I mean this in a good way, primitive, uncut looking.
    But tight..
Big scales IMO, and the kirinite could really compliment the bluing..A stone-ish wedge maybe?
    Just a thought.
Can't imagine this looking bad in any set of skins really. Bruno's work is just superb..
Enjoy, I kinda think you will.

I forgot that I also have honey horn blanks and darker horn blanks too. When it gets here I'll post pics with the different materials I have in the workshop. It's already in the US, so I'm hoping I'll be holding it in my hands before the weekend!
