This John Pitts Celebrated arrived today. I stumbled on it for a very low price and snatched it up because I like the shape of the blade. It looks like an old one. Time for some research.

The scale is wrapped in thin brass sheet from an old repair. I thought it was tape when I saw the sellers pics. Another razor with character. [emoji12]

It looks like a brass nut for a collar too! I am interest to see if you can restore it and preserve the character.

I'm going to try to just clean it up and see how it looks.

Wife was on Etsy, who knew some great stuff could be on there? I sure didn't...

As a result, I have and NOS in box Irisch Moos Shave Stick in the mail, finally find out what all the hype is about, and I can blame the wife, for some reason, she bought it for me.....things are looking up for the weekend!

As long as that Moos does not go into a rut everything should be fine.
