    Forgive me my ignorance: is Lonewolf a modern or vintage brand?

    There is no ignorance to your question, it sent me to Google. It seems that Lone Wolf produced Kami and Western grind razors during the mid-20th Century with razors dated from the 60's being my only clue. It does not appear that the company is still in business, but I did find a Lone Wolf knife company. Maybe someone else has real knowledge of this brand.

    Aloha!

    My first synthetic brush (an Omega) arrived yesterday and I shaved with it just now. But first I tried lathering Proraso Cream and Stirling Tallow soap. Personally, I prefer Badger or Boar for large lather items, but the Omega Synth is not bad. Certainly doable.

    IMO, the strength it has is with face lathering low-lather creams like Cremo. I had good success with this. Perhaps the most lather I have had from Cremo to date. I would say that I may prefer the synth with Cremo. So I can see why some say the Synth may be a good travel brush. For me it would just be the Synth, some Cremo and aftershave/cologne.

    I also really like my switch from Clubman Lime Sec to Citrus Musk for the summer. I dabbed a bit on in prep for Clubman Friday. I do prefer this to Lime Sec. It smells fresher and more natural citrus to my nose VS the Lime Sec that is almost Lime Candy scented to my nose. The Citurs Musk is not an aftershave but a cologne, so I tested it with my Old Spice Lime aftershave and I have to say they play nice together scent-wise since there are large undertones of Lime in the Citrus Musk.

    Nothing too exciting, but I have my very first "SYNTHETIC" brush coming this week. First one ever. Plenty of Badgers and Boar and a Horsehair, but never anything synthetic, so finally trying a "Vegan" brush for kicks.

    Also ordered a bottle of Clubman Citrus Musk. I've been using Lime Sec for a very long time, and it's high time for a switch;

    Just got this one out of the mail today. My first Puma. It's a 6/8 in great condition. Blade seems heavy compared to 6/8 Henkles which I like. cleaned the inside of the scales of some gunk. Looking forward to using this one.

    They are great razors Phil. Not that many years ago they commanded quite a price. I love mine.
