Shaving related: The latest addition to my brush collection was supposed to be dropped into the mail today from Brush Craft. This one should be something special and I'm eagerly awaiting the opportunity to share some pics.

Non-shaving related: I've decided to dip my toe in the fountain pen pool and ordered a Pilot Metropolitan and a sample of ink. Looking forward to trying something new but not looking forward to another hole down which to throw money that I could be spending on my shaving oriented AD's.

MrHouston You probably have scored a good razor. I have three Shumates and they all are very good razors.

A sta-sharp chromized razor is on the way. The etched blade and cracked ice scales just make these razors look great. Impatiently waiting to be able to use it.Name: IMG_0804.jpg

I always wanted a Spike razor from Olean, but all I have seen were well-used.
    Perhaps this one will do?

Lauterjung made some fine razors, so I hope the long Lauterjung barber's hone that comes with will be a fine one as well.
    Fingers crossed.....

I've been waiting for a while now for a sink bridge to arrive. I can't wait! Well, apparently I can wait, but you get the point.

Nice spike, and looks to be a nice hone as well.
I like the spike I redid. Nimble little blade.
    Nice score sir.

    Thanks, Mike!
It seems to be ground thinner than most Spikes I see?
All I have seen are 'modern ground wedge' types. It's also supposedly 6/8.
Did they make an Extra Hollow Spike? I am thinking it is just not honed to death?
I will see more as I get it, I suppose.

Keep an eye on the scales, Paul. Those are known to have issues!

Oh man, to get this Wostenholm I made an offer 5 times more than the former owner paid for it.
