Three fragrance sample packs in the mail today. Histoires de Parfums, Rogue Perfumery and a pack of various 'Spicey' fragrances. Also two decants from Eight & Bob and an Amouage.

Thanked: 57I had a Boar brush some time ago that my wife gave me but I didn't like it so I gave it to my Barber who was still practicing. It was a really nice Omega.
I never really gave it a fair shake. I used it a few times and it was stiff, coarse, didn't hold any heat whatsoever etc, etc. It just didn't hold a candle to my high end Badgers.
In retrospect I never really gave it a chance so thought for this ridiculously low price on the iconic 48 I should at least see what they are capable of.

I have one of those myself.
It is a big ol' thing and breaks in nicely. I personally like the stiffer brushes but don't really find this one as stiff as many I have used. Perhaps your other one was a one off. Maybe try a soak in hair conditioner for a day or two if the new one seems stiff.Iron by iron is sharpened, And a man sharpens the face of his friend. PR 27:17

Thanked: 57Oh I will definitely soak this for 24 hours min. and buff on a towel followed by several lathers before even touching my face.
I will let this truly break in for a while before final consideration. I can't imagine it ever comes close to my Badgers but I will give it my best shot.
I intentionally bought the longer loft as I like a soft brush but with some backbone. If this one seems to my liking feel wise but becomes a little floppy I can rehandle it no problem, I have the tools
