Thanked: 2a of old straights leads to a bag of old straights
I posted about 7 or so razors my grandmother gave me that my great grandfather used. As i was telling her about how much i liked them she told me about even more razors she had.. The next thing i know my father calls me the next day and tells me my grandmother gave him a bag of razors and she wants me to have them. I have been digging and collecting bottles for years.. I think i just found my new hobby.. collecting razors.. well any way attached are some pictures of the razors she gave me.. note the ace comb box this is a comb box made in Butler New Jersey 10 mins from my home long out of business as the amerace corporation.

Your great grandfather must have been one clean shaven guy...or a barber!
Just call me Harold

Thanked: 43My advice to you would be to record these razors that you inherited from your grandfather.
I suspect you are hooked on collecting straights and you wouldn't to chance forgetting which ones were from grandpa.
I sure wish I had one of my grandpa's old razors.

Thanked: 2Yes he was a barber. He started at the age of 14 and was a barber for a very long time. He lived to be 96 years old and gave me my first hair cut. I remember as a young kid feeling his claws sticking in my head so i wouldn't move. I never moved an inch when he cut my hair. The guy was a true legend.
