Default George Brittain Straight Razor circa 1780-1840, With Leather Cases

I figure as I finished typing, "George Brittain straight razor" into the eBay search engine, the seller must have just hit submit as I saw this posting. So, like Bill Clinton on an intern, I bit the button like one of Pavlov's Dogs, and this is on the way to me.

It's obviously going to get cleaned up and honed, but this beauty looks so good, it will all stay original. Can't believe I got this one, another awesome, early Saturday afternoon.

Been looking and seeking this blade out for the better part of a year, never even came close. Only place I've seen one of these was here at SRP.

As you and I also know, finding a nice Greaves in and of itself is a rare occasion. So this Saturday afternoon, thought what the heck, I'll try again like I always do, and suddenly it was there in front of me, couldn't believe it. To also see the scales in great shape, and the two cases, beautiful.

As you know, I love my Greaves! They are fantastic razors & very historic as well. That's a nice catch you made, Timing couldn't have been better!
