I'm also awaiting the shave report and a long-winded post for all of our enjoyment. It deserves that, at least.
God Bless you,
Simon

I, too, look forward to hearing of your first run with a DE. I have a nice little collection of SRs but always wondered what the DE was like. Thanks in advance

So I shaved with the DE this morning. 3 day whiskers. Enjoyed the handle! Shaved quite good and close with the Personna platinum blade. I had MDC all thick and creamy like I do with a straight, could have used a thinner lather for this thing, I am certain. Missed a few spots on first pass, but ATG cleaned all up. Strange shave, not dangerous a bit, not a sound. So used to the hairs falling and feedback from a straight, but none of that with this heavy razor. Definitely not as aggressive as my Gem Micromatic.
Still, a good razor. I think it will nicely fill the bill for travel, rush jobs! No irritation whatsoever.
All in all, very happy with it. Going to get Tarkus to send a few Feathers from his lifetime supply next box from Philly. (hint!)
Want to try those next!

I rest my case.
