Sadly I have no rebuttal for that. Cause your kind of right.
    God I'm so depressed.

    Sharptonn,
Thanks for sharing your experience :-) It makes me want to get one for my quickie days as well. Currently I'm shamefully using a cartridge razor for those days If I get the chance I'll let y'all know how it goes.
    Hang in there Tarkus.

That's my experience to a T. My first "alternative" to an SR shave since I began was with the Micromatic SE, too.

BTW- I really think you'll appreciate the sharpness of Feather blades. Also, what blades were you using in your Micromatic SE? I got received a stack of Hygiene Single Edge Safety Razor blades, for what it's worth. Got me thinking I might pop in a Stanley blade and give 'er a whirl. I talked myself down from that one with a little help of the SRP hotline.

I have only used the Gem blades from Walgreens. They seem excellent. I was told as I enquired that there are Gem Platinum blades which are the sharpest. I seriously cannot see how a sharper blade could be had, JMO! I have ,BTW, used a Feather blade in an Autostrop. That thing was MEAN! . I can add these to my Rolls Razor and my Everite Safety razor to play with. I do have an old Wilkinson Empire, but need to get the blades on the hones!
Anyway, I will just have these things around to use once in a while. Fun to get a good shave from some strange transitional gadgets!
    Back to the straights!

Don't forget to call the office tomorrow and cancel your gender re-assignment. That is, seeing as how you won't be Doubly minded...
