Perhaps a 'patch knife' made from a razor from back in the muzzle-loader days?

Good point about patch knives but this has got a different shape handle that is designed to use like a one handed draw knife.

Mike did you loose this? I noticed it in the design after I bought it.

Yeah, 32t's find is a crooked knife. They were used by Native Americans like a draw knife. Some were made from recycled knives or they could be bought at a trading post, blade only.

    Nope.[emoji4]
But it could have been a farmers tool.
Maybe for cutting heads of lettuce, or things from vines. Would work nicely for removing peppers, and mellons

Good I was worried you might want it back!

    A quick definition.

It is a rare event that I get a chance to hunt in the wild. Here is the only item I have found that I am happy about the pricing and condition.

Nice! One or two minty blades, to boot! What year is indicated on the spine of the blades?

One nice blade in the stropper and one NOS still in its wrapper and metal case. I will have to look up the dates code on the blades as it is not obvious to me. The box is marked with patent dates of 1923, 1925, 1926, so I guess that set was made after that. It is typical of an antique store too. Three sets, one with a broken hone one missing the hone, two of them did not have all the removable parts as in blade and handle, the set I got being the third, but they were all the same price. Another shop had some nice razors but they were quite pricey.
