And to all, The set wasn't cheep by all means, but it was a good enough price I couldn't pass it up. Thanks to all for the comments.

Disburden makes me feel better for also not owning a proper 7-day set yet. Maybe I will be like tc and rolodave and work on a Bruno blade 7-day down the road.

Nice set, Gasman. Be sure to post more pics once you've gotten them all cleaned up.

One question re: sizes...are they 6/8?

I'd call the 11/16 but they might have started at 6/8.



BTW, This one is about done. Still needs honing and maybe just a little more time cleaning up but... I'm not going to get all the dark marks out of the tang and there is pitting on the tang thats not going to come out by hand without unpinning. I figure they are old so they should look to have some age. I'm just really happy with the blades. as they are in great shape. Guess someone had a problem with drying before closing them up and putting away so the tangs took some abuse.

didn't realize the shine on the blade didn't show up in the pic. Trust me, its shinny!
